LACHINE CANAL RIDE - July 4, 2018
Who’s crazy enough to have gone for a ride on a day when humidex values were in the mid-40’s?
Oppressive heat- what’s the problem? A.T. Lane and W.G. Ross pedalled along the recently re-opened Lachine Canal. We did take it easy. My total distance cycled from the Café Shakira to Ville St. Pierre, then along the Canal path to Old Montreal, and finally back to Verdun was a mere 25km. (No boost to A.T.’s Eddington number from this ride.) We took frequent water (and ice-cream!) breaks.
No doubt the MBC will return to more ambitious rides once the current heatwave abates.
