Skiing Along the River

Greetings Skiers,

Anna and I went skiing along the St Laurent in Verdun.    We started at the parking lot for the Parc des Rapides and went upriver to the small restaurant where the high tension lines cross the river.    Excellent trail although flat but the views were fantastic.    The only problem was that the trail disappeared in the last 100 meters to the restaurant.   The set trail also goes down river from the parking but that we left for another day.    We skied about 8 kilometers.     Some advice if you are thinking of skiing along the river:   be sure the winds are light because it is quite exposed and try to pick a day with sunshine for it brings out all the colours of the river.   I am attaching a few images.   There were some skiers.
