20 June 2023 Stumbling upon the Notman House

Four MBC members met at Ma Bicyclette and planned the day's fixture.  We decided to ride along the Lachine canal, head up Peel, and look for a rumored new Junco Statue near Sherbrooke and the Main.

Along the way we saw a REM train doing a test run and stopped to judge how noisy was it?  The consensus was that the trains were not as noisy as we have heard on earlier test runs.  They must have done something to address the issue.

Going up the Peel REV, we made note of the design of the path as well as how it was marked by banners.

At the what should be the Northern tip of the Peel REV, Birdie was the first of the group to peel off....

On Sherbrooke, near McGill, we noticed some sidewalk space that could be made into something like the Peel REV.

We noticed that a dangerous intersection had at long last been closed to cars.

This was followed by a discussion about how to get the Critical Mass to turn right, rather than left.

Louis thought would be a good idea to have some holy water before he also peeled off....

Tibbs was curious to see what had been done to Duluth Ave.

A.T. wanted to see how the Sherbrooke REVe posters were holding up.
