Solo in Saint-Henri

 G. T. Bishop met A. T. Lane at the Ma Bicyclette Café where they discussed the latest version of the legendary, earth-shattering Via Rail letter.

The server informed G. T. that the cafe would be closed from January to March so members will need to find a new meetup location for any winter cycling fixtures.

Unfortunately, A. T. had to depart so G. T. headed off to explore the environs of Saint-Henri.

First stop was the old RCA Victor building that houses the small, but interesting Musée des Ondes Emile Berliner. Berliner was the inventor of the Gramophone.

The fixture continued through the streets and bike paths of Saint-Henri, which is an odd mixture of re-purposed industrial buildings, old homes, upscale restaurants, and political street art with sporadic corners of homeless encampments on the fringes.

After a lunch stop on Notre Dame, G. T. returned to the Lachine Canal and the Old Port taking the time to climb up on to the Grand Quai for a view of Mont Royal from the harbour.

Total Distance on the ride a mere 18K but finished off on the new section of the St Denis REV between Roy and Cherrier.
