29 June 2024 Major Taylor Tour

 A large group of MBC'ers welcomed the visit of the Major Taylor Bicycle Club of New Jersey to Montreal.  To celebrate the event two Pennyfarthing riders also made a guest appearance.

 

The original plan was to take a tour of Montreal, taking in Major Taylor related sites such at teh Louis Rubenstein water fountain, the Windsor Hotel, the former M.A.A.A. grounds and the site of the actual world championship, the Queens Park Velodrome in Verdun.  Alas the the weather was not co-operating and only the first site was visited.
