 5 August Let's go Exploring

 I've done the Ste Therese- Ste Anne des Plaines - Terrebonne - Rosemere ride, many times.  It is my favorite Montreal area day trip.  But I have often wondered, what is the trail on the North side of Autoroute 640 like (Red Arrow on Map)?  Could it be a viable short cut to the paths south of the 640 (Green Arrow on Map)?

There is only one way to find out, give it a try.

Upon arriving at the it's start. I quickly learned that the dashed line on Google maps is actually a hydro line access road.  

 

 I gave it a try.....

 

 After slogging through this for a while I came to some rather large puddles blocking the way.

 I thought, maybe they aren't too deep to pedal through.  I was wrong.

 Rather discouraged, I headed back to the now highly recommended trail south of the 640 Autoroute.
