20 July 2026 — Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines: Coin Toss
After members boarded the train at a few different stations, the fixture began in earnest when the doors opened at Sainte-Thérèse. The group walked their bicycles through the extensive construction surrounding the station before continuing to a nearby café to choose—or supposedly choose—the day’s route.
A coin toss had been proposed to decide between two possibilities: the long-time favourite route east to Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, or a westward ride exploring a new connection to the REM at Deux-Montagnes. At the café, however, it became clear that everyone preferred the eastern route. Nobody wished to risk the coin choosing otherwise, so the toss was abandoned, the decision was made unanimously, and the result was duly recorded in the minutes.
With the route settled, the four members left the café and set out eastward for Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines.
Along the way, the group stopped at Lac Fauvel, where A.T. wanted to record the group with a 360-degree camera beside the water.
Satisfied they had something to place within the minutes, the group continued on to Ste-Anne-des-Plaines before becoming separated and reunited just before Rosemère.
The fixture concluded with beer and pizza, a great way to end the day.
