Hot retreat from Ste Anne des Plaines

With a very hot weather forecast, the Montreal Bicycle Club postponed the longer planned ride to Sainte Anne des Plaines and had instead a short ride to L'île Sainte-Hélène.

Passing by what will someday become the Bonaventure project, A.T. Lane tried to picture what plans his friend, W.G. Ross, president of of the Montreal Harbour Commission, had to connect Old Montreal with the New Champlain Bridge bike path.

Enough dreaming aside, the three members continued on to the St Lambert Lock.  True to form, Dorothy Cole stumbled upon another friend.

Jealous of her popularity, A.T. headed back to the Jacques Cartier bridge by himself, while Louis and the two girls decided to enjoy a ride along the river to the Estacade.
Now alone, A.T. took some pictures along the way.

Including this last picture which he would like to see changed, from this.

To this.
