Ian Craig's History Tour

Louis sat despondently devant son ordinateur trying to devise a fool proof option scheme in order to escape the pandemic.  Rudely awakened by the phone jangle - OMG - who can that be?  'Twas AT Lane, father of Bertie who was the first person to ride up Cote-des-Neiges.  Urgent meeting at the Shaika - be there at o eleven hundred hours.  Attention to "Haunted Malcolm" was insisted upon whence we learned of this incredible feat by young Bertie some 130 years ago.

I am most impressed with Malcolm's creativeness describing ghosts who haunted Montreal by riding on weird 2 wheelers called penny farthings.  I recommend all members listen in! Enuff already- let's go for a ride.  So we ventured out on a beautiful morning of 18 degrees.  Unfortuneately Malcolm (aka AT Lane) suddenly decided he had to memeorize his lines for this weekend's rendition of Dramatis personnae so the journey kept being abreviated. But quick turn here at Old Orchard to 4423 where my grandfather rented for thirty years.

Next stop my daughter Nadia & sagrada familia Ben, Josephine and Harrison's house on Madison at NDG.

Then on to Belmore and Terrebonne where my and Sue's  first house is located and we sold in 1980.

That rapped up the ride of about 12 k after planning a bike/train journey to Hudson on Nov 10 when we anticipate 21 degrees and a visit to daughter Julie's new house.
