REV Dreams

We gathered at the Press Cafe, AT Lane , Karl Kron, Dorothy were joined by Francois, who as the Invisible Man follows the club’s activities , but hasn’t been on a ride so far. Francois regaled us with his life growing in Sherbrooke while we fortified ourselves with coffee. We parted company and the three of us rode through the ever fractured downtown Montreal emerging from the construction chaos at Berri. We then biked past Lafontaine Park and stopped at the Velo Quebec cafe/ store to pick up some Montreal Cycling Maps. We then peddled along Rue Mont Royal which is partially closed to traffic pending full closure for the summer. On next to the Louis Rubenstein plaque at Fletcher's field where we genuflexed in honour of our Louis who was recently lost at sea. He is still alive , biking from a barge in Holland, but he just got lost on the boat. We wish him a safe return. We then had an invigorating ride up Mont Royal , back to Westmount then homeward bound. A good way to welcome the slow arrival of spring weather.

Karl Kron.
