14 June 2021 Angus Yards

Due to a last minute change of plans, the rather than checking the possible connections between the Falaise and Meadowbrook, we rode out to the Angus Yards.

However we did look at how staircases could access the eastern part of the Falaise, connecting Terry Fox park to the Valley of the Birds.

And the hole in the fence in Terry Fox park is conveniently located near available parking....

The Terry Fox Observation deck and staircase will offer an magnificent view of the eastern entrance to the Bande Verte.  Los Angeles has nothing on Montreal.

Apparently a competitive staircase to Terry Fox's is already under construction, but in a less convenient location.

Heading east we decided to take the Bike path on St Jacques, portions of which are ready for opening.

Some interesting murals along the way...l.

At Guy there is a good bike connection to the Lachine Canal path.

We proceeded through Old Montreal along Rue Notre Dame.

Then further east, by the Brewery - Bridge junction....

At the eastern end of de Masionneuve, we noticed the fine wall mural no longer exists.

Try as I might to find a photo of the old mural from previous Fixtures, all I could find was this one from the internet.

Soon we were at the Angus Yards, just in time for a short rain shower.  After coffee we all headed home via different routes.
