Birding at Lac Fauvel
On a day that was also was more like a late September day than late June and again with no other
takers, A.T. Lane hopped on the EXO train to St Jerome some birding and exploring along the Seigneurie des Plaines bike path.
Getting an early start at Blainville, rather than than taking the longer, traditional starting point of St Jerome he was at Lac Fauvel after a short ride.
Lac Fauvel is a popular spot for bird watching and I took some photos of 10 different species. That number sets a new personal record on ebird.
Some of the birding highlights included:
Red-wing Blackbird
Common Grackle
Mallard
But the star bird was the fast moving Tree Swallow of which there were many.
The birds alerted me to other natural attractions of the area.
Returning via EXO train from Sainte-Thérèse.
