New Year's Day on the Falaise St Jacques

 Four members of the MBC gathered in the misty rain for a the annual New Year's Day walk on the Falaise St Jacques.

A.T. was anxious to show off how the Chickadees will hand feed, but the birds that day had ideas of their own.

  A special surprise appearance was made by 4 mallards who could be seen from the Bande Verte.

 After completing the walk we encountered two other MBC members who were closely examining this fungus growing on a tree in the Valley of the Birds.  Full marks to Miss M.J. Frothingham, who identified it using an plant identifier app called "Picture This".
