25 August 2023 Critical Mass

It was the last Friday of the month and Montreal cyclists gathered at the Monument for the Critical Mass ride.

The Montreal Bicycle Club sent a contingent of riders, who put on their Sherbrooke REVe buttons and watched the preliminary speeches.

A.T. and Tibby had rode over to event together arrived a little after the official 5:00 pm start of the event. G.T. Bishop informed them that a marriage ceremony had just taken place at the foot of the monument. What dedication to the cause !!!

The ride headed North on Parc, then headed East on Laurier. and St Joseph as far as Papineau. Eventually we ended up headed West on Sherbrooke, near Parc Lafontaine.

Moving along Sherbrooke seemed like a good time to hand out Sherbrooke REVe buttons to fellow cyclists.

After a while the ride headed South on steep hill down Hotel de Ville.

The ride eventually ended up in Pointe St Charles.

At the end of the ride I congratulated the wedding party, offering them each a Sherbrooke REVe button.

The critical mass complete, A.T and Tibby had supper together on Wellington street then enjoyed the night ride home.
