29 March 2024 True Grit Fixture

The weather is getting warmer and a larger contingent of MBC members gathered this time at the Cafe Redwood to plan the day's outing.  After some discussion they opted for a ride to Boisé Steinberg in a quest to find Junkco's Horse which had been reported as missing.  Rumor has it that it had been relocated.

The club moved over familiar territory happy to in the saddle again after winter.

Entering the area where the horse was last seen, we realized that Boisé Steinberg was not the proper name for this forest, it was in fact Boisé Vimont, Ancien Jardin de la ferme Molson-Dubois.

After passing through the Boisé Vimont, we quickly found the missing horse.  It has moved from on top of a nearby hill to a better pasture near a garden.

One final mystery remained, where is the  Boisé Steinberg?  Like the Falaise of old, it is past a Hole in the Fence.

We stopped there briefly to explore.

Thankfully, someone has posted a map that explains all this to us.....

Mission accomplished, the members decided to head over to the Angus Yards for lunch and coffee.  Along the way they took note of various posters.
