Baby Audrey's First Fixture Ride

A.T. Lane and Queen Victoria went by train from Montreal to Kitchener, Ontario in order to take part in Baby Audrey's first Fixture Ride, January 13th 2020.

The ride took place at nearby Victoria Park, and everyone stopped to take another classic, delayed timer on top of a bridge, group shot.

Having satisfied the obligatory photo opportunity, Audrey wanted to speed off on her custom tricycle, she was held back only by her slow poke grown ups.

A.T. was told by Jenkins that there was an historical monument in Victoria park he should see.  He took the picture what used to be a pedestal for a statue to Queen Victoria's co-parent-in-law *, Kaiser Wilhelm I. The statue was thrown in the nearby lake during the First World War and later was lost.

Kitchener is more recently notable for having opened a new trolley line in June 2019. A.T. also felt compelled to photograph it.

(* Queen Victoria's eldest daughter, Victoria, Princess Royal married Frederick III of Prussia who was the only son of Kaiser Wilhelm I.  This makes Queen Victoria co-parent-in-law to Kaiser Wilhelm I.)
