22 June 2026 Teaching Birdie to Fly

 

 On Monday Jun 22, Birdie and A.T. boarded the Exo train to Ste-Catherine at Vendome Station on the Candiac Line. Louis and Karl boarded at Montreal West Station 5 minutes later. We were soon passing over the St Lawrence River to the south Shore and Ste-Catherine Station. G.T was first of course, boarding and Gare Centrale.

We cycled on residential streets near the Seaway and stopped at a good café,L'apostrophe, on Bd Marie-Victorin. We continued north and crossed over Hwy 15 on the walking and cycling bridge and cycled to the park just north of La Prairie. And that's where it happened! Birdie learned how to fly!!

 

Actually, fly a drone. A.T. has become a techno sorcerer and he's learned the dark art of the drone. Birdie took the drone in the palm of his hand and set it to fly. And it did. 

We carried on through Radisson Park and north on the transmission line park before turning left and returning to the cycle path beside Hwy 15 and under and then up to Pont Champlain and home. 

While crossing over the Seaway we marvelled at the Canada Steamships Line freighter making its way west.
