6 June 2026 Île Bizard

The original plan was to catch the 7:00 a.m. train to Sainte-Thérèse, where the popular ride to Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines begins. Laura Snowball faithfully carried out the agreed plan by boarding the train. A.T. Lane and A.G. Batchelder, however, through less exemplary timekeeping, were left standing on the platform. They quickly improvised by boarding the next available train to Vaudreuil, while Laura continued with the original ride. Text messages were soon exchanged as apologies were offered and the day's changing plans discussed.

Although disappointed to have missed the opportunity to ride with Laura, A.T. and A.G. made the best of the situation. After alighting at a different Sainte-Anne—Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue rather than Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines—they settled into a café for breakfast. Over coffee, the disappointment of the missed train quickly gave way to anticipation as a new destination was chosen. With the weather promising and the bicycles ready,

 Of course there were a few mix ups along the way, we missed the turn off to Île Bizard and ended up backtracking on the REM.

 But we actually did make it to  Île Bizard, took the ferry over to Laval and have some video evidence to prove it.
