How to get to Rosemere

The three amigos got together on the EXO train to St Jerome.  As usual, it was an unsolved mystery as to how to buy the proper ticket for the OPUS card.  Some went with the Zone A fare, some gave up and went renegade.

During breakfast and coffee in Ste Therese, A.T. told the group of how he lost 8 tables recently. G.T. said this should be included in the minutes but I thought better of it.   The group then headed out towards Ste Anne des Plaines.  First stop along the way was Lac Fauvel to hear the geese honking overhead.

Upon entering the town, we waited for our turn after the school kids to play on the fire engine.

In addition to the fire engine, we were fascinated by a public bicycle pump that actually worked! The tool set came complete with a charging station for electric bikes!!

A.T. insisted we stop for a second coffee, then after 45 minutes we were back on the saddle.  Taking notice of the wide variety of motorcycle brands available for purchase in the region.

Near Bois des Filion the three amigos became two as G.T headed back directly to Montreal while the other two decided on stopping at Rosemere for a pizza and train ride back.

On the way back, a kind EXO inspector asked for out tickets which we were unable to buy on the OPUS cards.  He explained that if the OPUS cards contain an "A" zone ticket (the normal STM bus and metro ticket for the island of Montreal) the machine will not offer a outer zone ticket which is what is required off the island of Montreal. If you use your OPUS card on island, and want to buy a the proper ticket for off island travel, one must ask machine for a paper ticket rather than an OPUS version.   Ahhhh mystery of how to buy the EXO tickets is now solved.
