MBC Snowshoeing on the Falaise St Jacques

Here is a report on the MBC outing on the Falaise St Jacques this past Tuesday.

The snow conditions were great,  light deep snow.   It was a bit difficult getting through the ‘hole in the fence’.   Edmond Jacquelin arrived by bike, bravo!

There were also Maria, A.T., Louise, and Tibbs.   Unfortunately Edmond had to turn back early since he did not have snowshoes.    A.T. also turned back early because of another commitment.   No one attempted cross country skiing on the Falaise or the Bande Verte because the snow was too deep.

A.T. Breaking Trail

Except for the crows we heard very few birds.   There was little other animal activity.   We saw only one set of tracks in the snow of a very small animal.

We snowshoed 500 meters eastward and 150 meters westward along the east west trail.   All in all it was an excellent outing.
