Assault on the Pont Sam du Cham

Present: H.S. Tibbs, Louis Rubenstein, Dorthy Cole & Karl Kron

    The elite SWAT team reconnoitered at o 9 hundred hours and revised the assault plans.  We then headed along de Maisonneuve and zig zagged toward Arwater Market, "the Pointe" and Verdun Auditorium keeping a careful watch to avoid being tailed.  A discussion ensued as to whether our foray to the bridge should at that point or from Nuns' Island.  Both endeavours seemed impossible and these findings were confirmed by local, NI residents Rachel and Howard (whom Dorthy knew). The mission was aborted and rescheduled for Nov 1.  We languished in the sunshine prior to leaving separately to avoid detection: H.S. Tibbs to attain birthday presents  for Anna and Betty (Oct 6),  Louis Karl Kron for his own birthday (Oct 5) present. Louis and Dorothy went  to undisclosed destinations.  Pix by H.S. Tibbs

  Before leaving for Europe A.T. made a solo attempt on the Pont Champlain Path.  Although unable to reach that point he took some intelligence photos of the various approaches from Nun's Island.
