Birdie flew to Victoria

Saturday, March 28th 2020, 9:00am to 11:30am EDT

I finished my 14-day Covid-19 self-isolation and celebrated with a ride; my first of 2020. I’m in Victoria and had a beautiful 31-km ride on the segregated Lochside Trail. There was light rain but not enough to keep cyclists inside. Victorians have collective ‘cabin fever’ and needed to get outside. The cyclist counter near downtown registered 343 cyclists at 11:00am.

Meanwhile my wife and I are practicing unintentional social distancing; by 4,392 km. She’s in Toronto. I hope to return to Montreal when travel is safer. Keep well and play safe.
