Boucherville sur la mer

The omens for ride were looking good, a rainbow was spotted the day before and news of an unexpected visitor to Montreal was filling the airwaves.

Ça va bien aller

The members headed out on their steads, undaunted by a few detours near the Lachine canal required by construction.

Soon they were crossing the Champlain bridge, a now familiar spot for taking pictures.

While looking out over the St Lawrence, Katherine mentioned that she had seen the Humpback Whale in the river the day before, indeed she even had a picture she took of it!

Humpback Whale Flippers can be seen in lower right

Green with envy, the other two members continued pedaling across the bridge.

Moving along the South Shore, they enjoyed the newly built paths.

Entering Boucherville, G.T. Bishop noticed a historical site we could visit.

Sir Louis-Hippolyte LaFontaine

The Boucherville sur la mer site was closed due to covid, so we had lunch at a picnic table near the church.

Heading back along an alternate route, the members took in the new sights to them.

Finally on the Jacques Cartier bridge, the members searched out the Zooming Montreal Plaque first discovered by the FOGBEES.

Katherine split off from the group at that point, choosing to ride back via
Île Ste Hélène rather than continue over the bridge.  Again she spotted the whale, again we are green with envy.
