18-22 September 2023 Hydrogen Train

The long awaited Hydrogen train trip to Baie St Paul trip had arrived.  Six members of the MBC, including a new member on his rookie ride set out on the first leg, the train ride to Rivière-à-Pierre.

We all set out on the trail, heading to a familiar hotel in St Raymond.  Along the way we took a side trip to view Chute du Lac à l’Ours.  As we approached the St Raymond it started to rain.

The rain continued overnight and throughout the next day.  Everyone set out the following morning with a smile.

After getting fully drenched, we arrived for lunch at Wendake.  It is a great place to stop, dry off, enjoy a fine meal and take in some history.

We set out in the rain again, and headed to Quebec City proper  There we checked into out hotel and met up with another MBC member.

The following day thankfully had clear skies, and we rode to Montmorency Falls to catch the Hydrogen Train to Baie St Paul.  The seat reservation system was truly 21th century.

We settled into a scenic train ride beside the the St Lawrence River to Baie St Paul arriving around noon to check into the hotel.

That afternoon we wandered about the town then had dinner.

The following day, we did the same thing but in the reverse order, first sight seeing in Baie St Paul, then train to Montmorency Falls and bike to Quebec City Hotel.

The final day was Quebec City sightseeing then back to Montreal.
