Overnight in Granby

Three members of the MBC took the new REM train from Central Station to the Du Quartier station and checked out the plaza.

After getting a bit lost in the nearby park, they found their way to the well known path to Chambly.

Here they took the southern route to Granby, along the Chambly Canal to St Jean for lunch before heading east.

This section from St Jean to Chambly was new territory for your scribe, and he was impressed.

However the most impressive aspect of the trip was to come early the following morning.  A guided tour to Granby's Chimney Swift Tower! Something he found truly interesting

After that they headed back to the hotel for breakfast, then a return to Montreal via the northern loop through Chambly.
