Back from Spain

We have been in Spain since the end of January. We arrived home on Friday, March 20 and are self-isolating for the next 2 weeks.

In Seville, everything except grocery stores and pharmacies was locked shut this past Saturday evening. If you weren't grocery shopping, the police would send you back to your apartment. The lock down in Seville was respected by the locals and tourists alike. There seemed to be no hoarding of groceries. The stores were consistently well stocked. The mood was sombre, but orderly.

It was an ordeal for us to get out of Spain. We had two different flight bookings out of Spain cancelled at the last minute. Finally, this past Wednesday night, we were able to get on a British Airways flight to London, England. From there, we were able to get WestJet flights back to Montreal.  We arrived last night.

Fortunately neither Sally or I has been ill- no symptoms at all so far.

Fingers crossed that the MBC will be able to resume regular rides in a few weeks time.

I hope that all of you are faring well during these worrisome times. 👍
