To Lachine and Back Along the River

On Saturday the 21st of March A.T. and Tibbs cycled westward from the Kensington and de Maisonneuve 'isolation' gathering spot to Montreal West.   We went down the main road into Ville St Pierre.   It proved to be tricky.   Previous day's snow melt had frozen on part of that slope.   Somehow A.T. and Tibbs held a steady line at speed over that patch.   No other incidents as we cycled through St Pierre and Lachine.   We crossed over the Canal on the lock gates and then out to René Lévesque park.

Cycling along the river in Lasalle they saw a standing wave surfer enjoying the high water and sun.

They continued along the river inio Verdun, stopping to view the new beach behind the Verdun arena.  The last part of the outing was on the Lachine Canal cycling path which was nearly all cleared of ice.  A.T. and Tibbs climbed the Glen hill to return to the starting point.
