3 Sept Bikes, Bridges and Boats
Three members of the MBC met at the Shaika Cafe and headed out for a Fixture ride to the South Shore. Dorothy Cole mentioned that the St Lambert Lock has recently been re-opened to cyclists. We decided that rather than going over the Champlain and returning on the Jacques Cartier bridges as originally planned we would use the St Lambert lock to the South Shore and return on the Champlain Bridge.

Crossing the Estacade (Ice Bridge) to the Seaway.
Biking along the Seaway to the St Lambert lock.
After waiting for the ship to enter the lock, we crossed over to the South Shore.
There was a caffeine stop in St Lambert, (no photos) then we returned over the Champlain Bridge.
While on the Champlain Bridge, Dorothy Cole presented the motion that this Fixture be named "Bikes, Bridges and Boats" in the minute book. This was seconded by Ernestine Bernard and the motion was passed unanimously.
