All roads lead to the Angus Yards or cafés and back alleys of Montreal

G.T.Bishop, Louis Rubenstein A.T.Lane and Dorothy Cole  were joined by two new members Ruth and Guillaume at our unofficial clubhouse  the Shaika Café.

G.T.Bishop led us on the bike lanes of NDG through Snowdon and Côte-des-Neiges.

We stopped to play on the ramps at the Outremont Campus of the University of Montreal; a  pleasant way over the tracks to Park Extension but we turned back to Outremont to continue our journey.

The rail path, an oasis from city traffic and construction took us East.

Some bicycling history on the way. One of our members uses the sobriquet Maria E. Ward.

Louis rejoins us after unexpectedly taking an alternate route

On to the back alleys of Hochelaga Maisonneuve discovered by G.T.Bishop

Glimpses of back yards and this lush community garden along the way. The mural makes a perfect backdrop

The pause that refreshes at Mamie Clafoutis in the Angus Yards

Proceeding onto the Rachel path we stopped at Vélo-Québec briefly and said farewell to Ruth, G.T. and Guillaume

Dorothy and A.T. checked out the “in progress” Réseau express Vélo on Saint-Denis

Plenty of room to ride in the construction zone

“Those falling leaves of red and gold”

Meeting up with Louis on his favourite bike path- Côte-Ste-Catherine

Thank you G.T. Bishop for this fascinating “circuitous route” to a familiar destination
