More Coffee than Skiing

Obligatory Montreal Bicycle Club Smith House Group Photo

The Thursday mid-week fixture on Mont Royal tilted toward more coffee than skiing. A.T. Lane, H.S. Tibbs, Birdie Munger and Jean (aka TBD) met at Smith House for coffee and conversation. So much conversation that A.T. had to ski directly down to catch the 80 Avenue du Parc bus and return home.

Guilty Members feeling that they should do some skiing

Jean went for a walk and H.S. and Birdie skied up to the Summit and around the mountain on Trail 2 under a clear blue sky. H.S. and Birdie thought the trail grooming and snow conditions were perfect. We imagined that A.T. had a fast ride down to George-Etienne Cartier’s monument. (I decided to check the next day …. Ch. Olmsted had a beautiful glide). Smith House, Mont Royal and MBC members are a great combination.

P.S.   A.T.'s plan was to go downhill to the monument but due to time decided  that it would be faster to pass by Beaver lake and take the 165 bus instead.  After a fruitful meeting about Skiing with the Cree, he returned home and observed another reason for having a cycle path on Sherbrooke Street, Unicycles crowding the sidewalks!

All the active transport is squeezed onto the sidewalk. What would W.G. Ross think?
