21 January Mont Royal New Membership Drive

The members met as they often do in the winter at Smith House on Mont Royal.

Perhaps it was the cold weather (-15 C) but the conversation soon drifted towards the video the Fogbee's sent of the 4 winter cyclists who rode from James Bay to Smooth Rock Falls.  Some of our members knew of a ski excursion called "Ski With the Cree" that is based in Moosonee that is reached by the Polar Bear Express.  Hmmm so many possibilities.....

After a bit of day dreaming, the group headed out skiing in true Montreal Bicycle Club fashion, everyone in a different direction . A.T. and Tibby exchanged a few photo ops before separating with Tibby returning to Smith House and A.T. continuing downhill to the Monument and the #80 bus stop.

Upon reaching the bus stop, A.T. went into high gear recruitment drive mode.

It brought about immediate results, a new member to the Montreal Bicycle Club.  We will have to find a Sobriquet for him.

This new member comes with excellent credentials, he was present at the opening of the new Champlain Bridge.
