Rabble-rousing plans on Mont Royal

    On Friday January 17, 2020 two MBC members scoffed at the cold weather (-18° C with windchill of -28°C) and skied on Mont Royal. A.T. Lane and Birdie Munger convened at Smith House and promptly got down to serious business – coffee, croissant and conversation. A.T. was hatching his “More Trains, Fewer Cars” protest and he turned thought into action the next day (see Rabble-rousing at the Montreal Salon l'Auto, Jan 18, 2020).

    We left the very pleasant Smith House on Trail 2 and skied up to the summit and then down to Chemin Olmstead, overlooking Lac aux Castors. At that point A.T skied down Chemin Olmstead to catch a #80 bus on Ave du Parc. Never far from rabble-rousing, A.T. came upon police on bikes monitoring a student climate change protest.
