Rabble-rousing at the Montreal Salon l'Auto

   Standing with his sign "More Trains! Fewer Cars!" in front of the ticket booth for the Montreal Salon l'Auto A.T. Lane caused such a commotion that it was difficult for Louis to photograph the controversial message.

"More Trains! Fewer Cars!" message was difficult to read as result of turmoil created

   This message chosen was result of the previous day's discussion between Birdie Munger & A.T. Lane at Smith House, Mont Royal.  They decided that transportation methods should be ranked best to worst as follows.

1. Walking or Cycling
2. Steel on Steel Electric Trains which require no batteries
3. Other forms of public transit such as buses
4. Electric cars
5. Regular cars and airplanes

   The Salon l'Auto in addition to promoting the worst form of transport (regular cars), celebrates the promotion of electric cars as a better alternative to the regular car.  They should be called out for their timid response to the host of environmental problems caused by the car.

   After doing their civic duty, Louis and A.T. celebrated by having lunch in nearby China Town.  Louis then selected some Premier Grand Cru available only at I.G.A. Alexis Nihon en boite.
