28 June Copenhagen Day 2 - Denmark Design Museum / Canal Boat Tour
Less jet lagged than the day before, they paid closer attention to details of the Copenhagen Metro. They test rode it from Central Station to the Marble Church (Marmonkirken).
Things they had not noticed before became apparent, such as some stations have underground bike lot rooms.
Elevators that go right up of street level entrances. This metro also has a circle line and sometimes directions run on two different platform levels. One had to know this on the elevator.
Unfortunately the Marble church was not open to visitors that day, we would have to come back again later.
We headed to the nearby Denmark Design Museum, taking a quick rest before seeing the exhibits.
Of course many of them had bicycle themes....
Some of the rooms had chair themes, another an intriguing hand push car.
After the Design Museum, we took a canal boat tour of Copenhagen.
Until that boat tour, A.T. did not realize just how close to shore the Little Mermaid statue was.
