6 July Hurtigruten Museum - Sea Eagles

Traveling south from Tronsø, the ship passed through the Risøy channel, which was dug in the early 20th century.  Before that people could walk to Andøya Island at low tide.

The ship has to do a tight turn in order to enter and leave the port of Risøyhamn.

The first main stop of the day was at the Hurtigruten Museum in Stokmarknes. Inside the building is the lounges from DS Finmarken (1912) and the entire MS Finmarken (1956).

Shortly after our ship, the MS Polarlys, entered the scenic Raftsundet and the Trollsfjord.

A time lapse video was made by one of our guides from the bow of the MS Polarlys.

The MS Polarlys entered the Trollfjord , from the Raftsundet at about 1:00 minute on the above time lapse video.  Shortly after a smaller blue fishing boat appears in the lower left.

Safely on board, A.T. settled into the Sea Eagles excursion.

Immediately, the Gulls knew they were about to be fed, and appeared near the boat.

High overhead watching were the real attraction, the Sea Eagles.

Eventually the fishing boat MS Orca met up with the MS Polarlys  in Slovær.
